Shannon Cheung, MSW
Digital well-being and community health researcher
About Me
I'm currently a researcher at Hackensack Meridian Health's Center for Discovery and Innovation. In my role, I drive and manage studies on stress management strategies and mental well-being, identifying user pain points in order to improve engagement and retention on a digital mental health platform.

I'm also a PhD Candidate in Rutgers University's School of Social Work. My dissertation project focuses on gendered user experiences in online PvP video games. The study centers female gamers' perceptions of and experiences with online gender-based abuse and harassment. This work will generate actionable insights to improve community health in digital spaces.
